You cannot be serious. Touchscreens have been around for decades and patenting how you move your hand or how many fingers touch the screen concurrently cannot be considered research.

This is pretty obvious misuse of the patent system.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3162201004011082229.post-26639829879949788792010-03-03T03:59:46.737-08:002010-03-03T03:59:46.737-08:00Except neither company spent hundreds of millions ...Except neither company spent hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of hours on R&D for such things. Your dismissal of such technology as being as everyday as "breathing" is childish. The reason everybody wants to copy the iPhone's features is because Apple spent a lot of time, money, and creativity on creating an interface that resonates with people - something that company does very well, and makes its money doing so. They have a responsibility to its employees and shareholders to defend that which they work so hard to produce. To not do so is business suicide. Stop being overly dramatic with ridiculous analogies with no basis in logic.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3162201004011082229.post-89475586700242674472010-03-02T22:22:55.023-08:002010-03-02T22:22:55.023-08:00With the way patents are awarded now, this is abou...With the way patents are awarded now, this is about like if Ford tried to patent turning left.
